Here is where we build community for our online class... Post your best two images for the week with a little commentary. Comment on the work of your fellow students... A minimum of 3 or 4 comments per week is appropriate. This is an important part of your grade. Use fotothing to post your 6-10 assignment photos for the week.

Sorry I'm late! I had internet problems... anyway, after taking this set of my roommate, I found out I'm not too great with portraits... any tips? My favorite is the last one and the oversaturated edit.
Actually the second one is the best one...it needs a little help as well.
One of the big no-no's in photo editing is not to blow out your highlights... that's like burning your cake or burning the egg when you're frying it in having a runny yolk. The second one has control over the highlights. It also has a decent sense of light,describing the face in three dimensions with a highlight and shadow. To tweak this a little bit better I would zoom in just a little more, and turn his face just a little bit more to the light so it's not split in half.
