Vanessa,

I'ts important to edit each and every image you do for this class. That means opening it in Photoshop or Picasa and rotating it, adjusting light, color balance, and straightening it out..

One of my instructions this week was to get in close and pay attention to light. Don't show us the whole building and most of the time, avoid putting any sky in the picture.

The only image with some potential is the bottom one as light is working actively in the shot... now you need to get in closer by crossing the street and actively composing the door elements in your frame.... Walk right up to the door and take a few shots.....

The shadows in that shot are awesome! Everytime I go out to shoot the sky is overcast! (that's great for outdoor portraits, but tough when you are looking for texture and contrast in rocks and stuff!) But that shot of the church-front is great!
